The invention relates to organopolysiloxanes comprising quaternary ammonium groups, comprising units of the general formula QRaSiO (3-a) /2 (I) ERbSiO(3-b) /2 (II) and RcSiO(4-c)/2 (III), wherein R is the same or various and means and a univalent, optionally halogenated hydrocarbon radical having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, E means a univalent SiC-bonded organic radical having 3 to 18 carbon atoms and comprising an epoxy group, Q means a univalent SiC-bonded organic radical, in which a quaternary ammonia group is bonded to a silicon atom by means of an opened-ring epoxy group, a is equal to 0, 1, or 2, b is equal to 0, 1, or 2, and c is equal to 0, 1, 2, or 3, under the stipulation that the organopolysiloxanes each comprise at least one unit of the formulas (I) and (II) and the ratio of the radicals Q/E lies, on average, in the range from 0.2 to 100, preferably from 0.5 to 20, preferably from 1 to 10. |
