abstract The invention relates to a method for producing a polymer layer composite and to a polymer layer composite that is configured, in particular, as a security document and/or valuable document. Said method consists of the following steps: Several polymer layers (6-9) are provided as substrate layers (22-24; 51-55); first information (30) is printed onto at least one substrate layer (22-24; 51-55); the substrate layers (22-24; 51-55) are compiled together to form a stack of substrate layers and said substrate layers (22-24; 51-55) are laminated to form the polymer layer composite (40). First information (30) is separated into at least two print excerpts (27, 28; 41-43) that comprise, respectively, partial information of the first information (30), and the first information (30) is subsequently printed. The at least two print excerpts (27, 28; 41-43) are printed in a specific manner on at least two different substrate layer surfaces (101,102) such that the printed print excerpts (27, 28; 41-43) are laid over each other, adapting exactly to each other, in the monolithic polymer layer composite and they reproduce together the first information at a viewing angle and at least one colour alteration of the reproduced first information (30) occurs at least at one second angle of viewing. The invention further relates to a polymer layer composite that is produced in accordance with the above-mentioned method.
