abstract |
The invention relates to a process for painting substrates comprising the following steps: 1) applying a coating composition to an optionally pre-coated substrate and 2) hardening the applied coating composition, wherein the coating composition comprises: A) at least one binder having functional groups containing active hydrogen, B) at least one polyisocyanate cross-linking agent having free isocyanate groups and C) at least one urethane compound having at least two -O-CO-NH- groups, wherein the urethane compound is substantially free from functional groups which are capable of entering into a cross-linking reaction with components A) and/or 8) and wherein the hardening is carried out under conditions such that the component C) does not contribute to the cross-linking of the applied coating composition by chemical reaction. |
