The invention relates to the field of chemistry and is concerned with a coating for wood materials, which serves as a base for subsequent coatings. It is an object of the present invention to indicate a coating, with the help of which the conductivity of wood materials is improved. This objective is accomplished by a coating, for which the outer and/or inner surface of a wood material is provided with polyelectrolytes, which are or were dissolved or dispersed in water and/or an organic solvent at least up to the processing stage, with a largely uniform distribution and with at least 10 g of polyelectrolytes per square meter. The objective furthermore is accomplished by a method, for which an aqueous solution and/or dispersion of polyelectrolytes is applied on the outer and/or inner surface of wood materials, wherein at least 10 g of cationized polyelectrolytes solid is applied per square meter of coated outer and/or inner surface of the wood material. |
