abstract |
The invention set forth in the present application relates to a novel antibiotic composition, to novel drug associations and novel formulations containing essential oil(s), as well as to the use thereof for the prophylaxis and/or treatment of infections in general and of nosocomial bacterial infections in particular. The invention also relates to a method for reducing the amount of bacteria present on a surface. The invention also relates to a method for preventing or treating a bacterial infection, in particular a nosocomial infection, in a mammal and particularly a human being, said method comprising (i) the administration of at least one antibiotic and (ii) the administration of at least one essential oil(s) formulation.
