abstract In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a new method for producing oligosaccharides using bipolar membrane electrodialysis (BMED) in an electrodialysis cell. The method allow for the simultaneous transformation of polysaccharides into oligosaccharides and the demineralization of the resulting oligosaccharides.
