abstract A process for the purification of crude biodiesel from glycerides comprising: a) contacting crude biodiesel feed with a mixture of water wash stream dan weak acid stream; b) separating biodiesel from water wash by phase separation wherein oily phase present in the top layer and gray water wash phase in the bottom layer; c) transferring the biodiesel stream to an evaporative device for further recovery of biodiesel; d) drying biodiesel from step c) then transferring it to storage.
