The invention relates to pharmacology and medicine, in particular to a proinsulin-containing medicinal agent mainly for peroral or parenteral administering. Said agent contains a polymer, preferably a polymer the molecular mass of which is not greater than 20000Da, for example polyethylenoxide, polyvinylpyrrolidone, isoprenol or dextran, in the form of a water-soluble polymer. The inventive method consists in covalently immobilising insulin on the water-soluble polymer with the aid of high-energy ionizing radiation in a dose required for carrying out free-radical reactions, preferably in a dose of 1.0-5.0 Mrad at the ratio between insulin and the water-soluble polymer equal to 1:1-500. |
