abstract A rubber composition that realizes inhibition of any hardness increase over time of studless tire and maintaining of favorable performance on snow ice over a prolonged period of time. The rubber composition for studless tire comprises 100 parts by weight of diene rubber of 80 wt.% or more natural rubber and/or polybutadiene rubber content, 0.5 part by weight or less of sulfur and 1 to 30 parts by weight of organic vulcanizing agent represented by the general formula -(R-Sx)n- (1) (in the formula, R is (CH2-CH2-O)m-CH2-CH2, x is an integer of 3 to 6, n is an integer of 10 to 400 and m is an integer of 2 to 5). The rubber composition for studless tire has a tanδ peak temperature (Tg) of -50°C or below and a rubber hardness of 64 or below at 0°C.
