abstract An electric lamp includes a first light source and a second light source and control circuitry configured to selectively energize the first light source and the second light source. The first light source is configured to produce white light and the second light source is configured to produce light that appears to be substantially white light, but does not include portions of the wavelength spectrum that are most effective in suppressing the production of melatonin.
