The invention relates to a method for treating wastewater containing organic substances, using hydrogen peroxide in the presence of a catalyst. The catalyst is an organic metal complex compound of cations of iron, zinc, copper, cobalt, vanadium, or manganese, and a complexing agent consisting of aromatic heterocyclic compounds containing nitrogen and a tertiary alkylamine matrix. The method also relates to the dosage of the metal complex compound according to the invention for degrading organic components in wastewater, and the degradation of the organic load in wastewater on catalyst material carried by the organic metal complex compound. |
