A zinc salt of an isothiazolone compound represented by the following formula (1); a method of stimulus reduction which comprises converting an isothiazolone compound represented by the formula (1) into a zinc salt; an antibacterial/antifungal method employing the zinc salt; and an antibacterial/antifungal composition containing at least one compound which is the zinc salt. (In the formula, R1 and R2 each represents hydrogen, halogeno, or C1-20 alkyl, provided that R1 may be bonded to R2 to form a benzene ring.) |
