abstract | The device is associated with the standard prosthetic ring which is permanently joined to the natural ring of the mitral valve, and comprises two parts interconnected in sliding form which form a positioning assembly; one part is basically T-shaped for temporary fastening thereof to the prosthetic ring during the surgical operation and is equipped with a handle extending from the part from the outer face opposite to the prosthetic ring, and the other part is shaped in a circle arc with a curvature matching the opening of the mitral valve and equipped with a passage in the mid-zone of the arc wherein is inserted the core of the T-shaped part in order to slide the arc-shaped part with respect to the T-shaped part and temporarily secure the same on one of the edges of the mitral valve in order to perform the repair thereof. |
