Improved method of detecting norovirus rna |
abstract |
An RNA amplification process which comprises: using at least two primer set pairs comprising a first primer having a higher hybridization efficiency to a nucleic acid sequence that is homologous with or complementary to each norovirus genotype RNA and a second primer (in which one of these primers carries a promoter sequence having been added to the 5'-end thereof); forming a double-stranded DNA containing the promoter sequence with the use of a reverse transcriptase; forming an RNA transcription product with RNA polymerase by using the double-stranded DNA as a template; and forming the double-stranded DNA as described above by successively using the RNA transcription product as a template in the DNA synthesis with the reverse transcriptase; wherein the amount of the amplified RNA transcription product is measured by using a nucleic acid probe labeled with an intercalated fluorescent dye. |
