titleOfInvention Method and system for injecting a radioactive product into the body of a patient
abstract Method for injecting a radioactive product into the body of a patient (12), wherein said method comprises the following steps:- injecting said radioactive product into the body of said patient (12), wherein said injection is carried out by means of a circuit (36), referred to as injection circuit, and wherein said injection circuit (36) is connected, at least indirectly, upstream to a first syringe (32) containing said radioactive product and downstream to a vein of said patient (12), and - rinsing said injection circuit (36) by introducing into said injection circuit (36) a product, referred to as rinsing product, contained in a second syringe (31) connected to said injection circuit (36) by a circuit (37), referred to as secondary circuit. Each of the steps of the method according to the invention can be triggered remotely such that the medical personnel are at a distance away from the syringe containing the radioactive product and from the circuit for injecting the radioactive product into the body of the patient (12) during the injection process. Thus, the invention makes it possible to increase the radioprotection of the medical personnel during an injection of a radioactive product into the body of a patient (12).
