Pharmaceutical compositions containing the protein nmb1796 |
abstract |
The present invention concerns the field of medicine, in particular the development of a pharmaceutical which comprises the protein NMB1796. The composition of the present invention confers protection against different pathogenic or non-pathogenic diseases. The protein NMB1796 was identified as a component of the preparation of outer membrane gallbladders (VME) of Neisseria meningitidis, was obtained by means of recombining deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and the immunogenicity and protective activity thereof were assessed in animal models. Due to the high degree of conservation of the gene which codifies for the protein NMB1796, the composition which includes same has high value as an antigen inducing an immune response of wide-ranging reactivity. The composition of this invention has uses in human medicine. |
