Structure promoting the formation of bone, comprising a body composed mainly of pharmaceutical-grade calcium sulphate and a calcium phosphate or apatite biomaterial in the form of porous granules having a mean granulometry by weight of between 250 and 3000 micrometres, said granules of biomaterial having as such a specific surface area of between 10 and 50 m2/g, a macroporosity formed by pores with a mean diameter (by porous volume) of between 2 micrometres and 100 micrometres. The structure has a ratio by weight of calcium sulphate dihydrate to porous calcium phosphate or apatite granules of between 1:3 and 3:1. |
