The present invention provides methods for manufacturing a honeycomb filter (10) having an after-applied skin (16) with chamfered edges (21, 64, 74) formed on the face-ends of the honeycomb filter structure. Apparatus for the manufacture of these honeycomb structures having after-applied skin with chamfered edges are also provided. In addition, honeycomb filter structures with chamfered after-applied skins are provided. |
