titleOfInvention | Methods of increasing camp levels and uses thereof |
abstract | The present invention shows that cilostazol, a phosphodiesterase 3 inhibitor has additional beneficial effects to atorvastatin on myocardial remodeling by inducing and preserving eNOS phosphorylation. The present invention demonstrates a cardioprotective effect of Cilotazol indicating the therapeutic potency of this drug. In addition, the present invention demonstrates that the additional effect of Cilostazol and atorvastatin therapy against ischemia injury is due to the augmentation ofphosphatodylicositol 3-kinase/AKT(PI3-/AKT), PKA and p-eNOS signaling. |
