abstract Disclosed are an organic photoelectric converter, and a polymer which is useful for production of the organic photoelectric converter. Specifically disclosed is a polymer containing a repeating unit composed of a structure represented by the formula (1a) below and/or a structure represented by the formula (1b) below, and a structure represented by the formula (2) below. (1a) (1b) (In the formulae, ring A represents a six- or more-membered monocyclic alicyclic hydrocarbon, and the alicyclic hydrocarbon may be substituted by an alkyl group having 1-20 carbon atoms.) (2) (In the formula, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1-20 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1-20 carbon atoms or an aryl group having 6-60 carbon atoms; x represents 1 or 2; y represents 0 or 1; and z represents 0, 1 or 2. When there are a plurality of R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 or R6, they may be the same or different form each other. In the alkyl group or the alkoxy group, some or all of hydrogen atoms may be substituted by fluorine atoms. The aryl group may have a substituent.)
