abstract |
The present invention provides polymeric compositions, devices, and methods for repair of vascular injury, particularly endothelial injury and impaired vascular repair, such as from intracranial aneurysms and carotid atherosclerosis. The invention particularly provides polymers incorporating signaling factors useful for recruiting circulating vascular progenitor cells. The polymers can be used alone or as a coating for various devices for placement at sites of vascular injury to promote repair by the body's natural systems. |
