titleOfInvention Method for processing alkoxysilanes using an organometallic compound, in particular for preparing organomonoalkoxy(or monohydroxy)silanes
abstract The invention relates to the processing of alkoxysilanes using an organometallic compound capable of substituting at least a portion of the alkoxy functions of the alkoxysilanes by a monovalent hydrocarbon radical different from alkoxy, which generates a by-product including a metallic alkoxylate capable of denaturing the substituted silanes thus obtained. The process of the invention comprises contacting the metallic alkoxylate with at least one agent (A) capable of reacting with the alkoxy functions of said alkoxylate in order to generate one or more species inert relative to the alkoxysilane, the agent (A) being selected from the electrophile and/or mineral acid group. The process can be applied for preparing functionalised and particularly halogen or alkenylated organomonoalkoxy(or monohydroxy)silanes, wherein said compounds can be used as synthesis intermediates in organic chemistry.
