abstract The invention relates to an administration device for a fluid product, particularly a liquid medication, such as insulin, comprising a fluid reservoir (231), onto which pressure is applied for administering the product. The fluid reservoir is preferably a hydraulic reservoir of a device for the hydraulic transmission of force to a product container. The pressure in the fluid reservoir is monitored for occlusion detection. A corresponding unit (260) comprises a gate valve (261) that is disposed in a displaceable manner along a displacement direction (266) against an elastic force. Once a predetermined pressure in the fluid reservoir is exceeded, the gate valve is displaced in the displacement direction against the elastic force.
