abstract |
Disclosed are: a method for regulating an activity of a microorganism; and an ice-making apparatus with an automatic antibacterial treatment capability or a laundry machine with an automatic antibacterial treatment capability utilizing the method. Specifically disclosed are: a method for regulating an activity of a microorganism, which is characterized by contacting the microorganism and/or a plant/animal cell with an ion (preferably a silver ion) while irradiating the microorganism or the like with a light having a peak wavelength within the range from 300 to 600 nm and an irradiation intensity of 500 to 500,000 μW/cm2; and an ice-making apparatus with an automatic antibacterial treatment capability or a laundry machine with an automatic antibacterial treatment capability having a structure which enables to achieve the method. |
