abstract | A method for treating a skin condition in a patient in need thereof, which method comprises: forming, through the skin surface of the patient, at least one micropore at a predetermined depth; placing on the surface of the skin at least a first electrode electrically coupled to said micropore, and placing on the surface of the skin a second electrode spaced from the first electrode; applying an electrical voltage between the first and second electrodes to produce desired electroporation in the skin; and finally, administering a substance to the skin in the at least two micropores formed, the substance having a therapeutic activity against the skin disease. |
