Disclosed are: an agent for activating, improving or protecting a neuronal cell; an agent for activating, improving or protecting the brain function; and a prophylactic, ameliorating or therapeutic agent for a central or peripheral nerve disease, each of which comprises reduced coenzyme A as an active ingredient. Specifically disclosed are: a prophylactic, ameliorating or therapeutic agent for a central or peripheral nerve disease, which has less adverse side effects and is highly safe; and a method for treating a central or peripheral nerve disease, which is characterized by administering the agent. |
