The invention relates to a method for producing a powder containing metallic oxides and hydroxides that is water self-dispersible, characterised in that a metallic oxide powder is treated partially with a polymer in the form of a solution and/or an aqueous emulsion, so that the dry weight content of metallic hydroxide in said powder is lower than 99 of the total weight thereof, and in that said polymer is a water-soluble homopolymer or copolymer containing at least one vinylic monomer. In a particular variant, the polymer is a water-soluble copolymer containing a vinlyic monomer and a non-ionic monomer, ans he metal is calcium and/or magnesium. The invention also relates to the powders thus obtained, to the use thereof in aqueous suspensions, in the treatment of effluents, as a chemical additive or as a soil improvement product. |
