The invention relates to the use of spherical metal particles which are free from antimony and/or from antimony-containing compounds, as laser-marking or laser-weldability agents in a plastic, where the D99 value of the particle size distribution of the spherical metal particles in the voluminal median of the cumulative particle size distribution determined by means of laser granulometry is < 110 µM, AND THE D90 value is < 75 µM AND THE D50 value is < 45 µm. The invention further relates to a laser-markable and/or laser-weldable plastic which comprises a laser-marking agent composed of spherical metal particles which are free of antimony and/or from antimony-containing compounds, where the D99 value of the particle size distribution of the spherical metal particles in the voluminal median of the cumulative particle size distribution determined by means of laser granulometry is < 110 µM, AND THE D90 value is < 75 µM AND THE D50 value is < 45 µm. |
