titleOfInvention Measuring cell, analyser, process, and computer program product for measuring biochemical oxygen demand (bod)
abstract An analyser to measure, preferentially in-situ an in a continuous manner, the biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) of a substance, comprises a flow circuit (202) through which the analysed substance flows, said circuit (202) comprising a series of flow cell reactors, each one containing a polymer support (212) colonised by bacteria, eg. Psendomonas putida, which interacts with the substance decreasing its oxygen concentration. The first (200) and last cell (224) also contain an oxygen sensitive optode based on a Ru (II) complex.
