A novel preparation method for a primary phosphine by reduction of the corresponding phosphonate. The reduction method according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises contacting the substrate having at least one phosphonate group, with a siloxane-type compound associated to a metallic and/or metalloidic element-based catalyst chosen from the groups (NIA), (IVA), (VA), (VIA), (VIIA), (VIII), (IB), (MB), (NIB), (IVB), (VB) of the elements of the periodic table. |
