Disclosed is a method for producing a ceramic fiber which has a small fiber diameter, shows a satisfactory level of photocatalytic activity even when exposed to a high-temperature environment, is economically advantageous, and can provide a safe environment during production. Specifically, a ceramic fiber having an average fiber diameter of 50 to 1000 nm inclusive can be produced by producing a fiber aggregate by an electrospinning method using a composition containing a titanium atom, a silicon atom and an aluminum atom and subsequently burning the fiber aggregate. |
