Pleasant tasting dry powder compositions suitable for pulmonary delivery |
abstract |
This invention discloses dry powder formulations suitable for pulmonary delivery, their methods of use and methods of manufacture wherein said formulations contain at least one drug substance with particle sizes less than about 10 microns and one or more taste masking substances with particle sizes greater than about 10 microns whereby the smaller drug substance particles largely flow into the respiratory tract while the larger taste masking particles, are more limited to the tongue and the back of the throat. This particular formulation is especially suitable for dry powder formulations comprising drug substances with bad taste. |
