abstract The present invention relates to the use of (i) a compound of formula I, wherein M, n, r and s are as defined in the claims, to synergistically enhance the herbicidal activity of a composition comprising pretilachlor, and to the use of pretilachor to synergistically enhance the herbicidal activity of a composition comprising a compound of formula (I). The invention thus extends to novel herbicidal synergistic compositions comprising as active ingredients (i) a compound of formula I and (ii) a synergistically effective amount of pretilachlor. The invention also relates to such compositions when formulated, as well as the use of such compositions and formulations in the control of undesired plant growth in crops of useful plants.
