titleOfInvention Exhaust system having mid-reducer nox sensor
abstract An exhaust system (12) for a combustion engine (10) is disclosed. The exhaust system (12) may have a housing (20) connected to receive a flow of exhaust. The exhaust system (12) may also have a first catalyst (22) disposed within the housing (20) to reduce the concentration of an exhaust constituent, and a second catalyst (24) disposed within the housing (20) downstream of the first catalyst (22) to further reduce the concentration of the exhaust constituent. The exhaust system (12) may further have a sensor (26) disposed between the first and second catalysts (22, 24) to generate a signal indicative of the concentration of the exhaust constituent at the location between the first and second catalysts (22, 24). The exhaust system (12) may additionally have a controller (28) in communication with the sensor (26) to receive the signal. The controller (28) may determine, based on the received signal, the concentration of the exhaust constituent at a location downstream of the second catalyst (24).
