abstract Methods and devices for generating nuclear reactions in solid and liquid deuterium containing materials are described. Non-uniform acceleration causes reactions in the materials, which can contain HD and/or D2, as well as receiver nuclei. Energy generated by the reactions can be removed as heat, as reaction products or as motion coupled into macroscopic modes.
