Process for production of flake-like dried 2-(5-ethyl-5-hydroxymethyl-1,3-dioxan-2-yl)-2-methylpropan-1-ol |
abstract |
Disclosed is a process for producing flake-like dried DOG. In the process, DOG having a liquid content of 10 to 50 mass% is subjected to a continuous melting/drying step under specific conditions. The resulting product is subjected to a vacuume drying step under specific conditions or an air drying step under specific conditions while keeping the product in a molten state, thereby producing DOG having a liquid content of 0.5 mass% or less (i.e., dried DOG). The dried DOG is flaked in a flake production step. |
