titleOfInvention Projectile trap material with improved trapping behavior for projectiles
abstract A projectile trap material for the trapping of projectiles contains from 10 to 100% by weight of metallocene polyolefin wax, based on the total weight of the projectile trap material. The metallocene polyolefin wax is a homopolymer of propylene or a copolymer of propylene with ethylene or with one or more 1-olefins having from 4 to 18 carbon atoms. The projectile trap material is suitable for use as a front sheet in projectile trap systems and develops good projectile trap properties. It is also suitable as a material for completely stopping the projectiles in the rear region of projectile trap systems and is recyclable.
