It is intended to provide a compound which is an oxepin derivative having excellent histamine receptor antagonism and is useful as an antihistamine. The oxepin derivative of the invention has potent histamine receptor antagonism. Further, the compound of the invention shows low intracerebral transfer also in a test for receptor binding in the brain of a mouse orally administered with the compound, therefore, it has a preferable property in terms of reducing central nervous system side effects such as drowsiness. Accordingly, the oxepin derivative of the invention is very useful as a novel antihistamine with less central nervous system side effects such as drowsiness. |
