abstract | This invention provides a base material for a solid electrolytic capacitor, a capacitor using the base material, and a method for manufacturing the capacitor. The solid electrolytic capacitor has a shielding layer having a multilayer structure of a plurality of layers stacked on top of each other, provided in an area for separating an anode part and a cathode part from each other in the base material for a solid electrolytic capacitor having a porous layer on its surface. The shielding layer includes a first shielding layer stacked directly on the base material for a solid electrolytic capacitor. This solid electrolytic capacitor is characterized in that the first shielding layer is formed from a solution or dispersion of a heat resistant resin or its precursor, free from a shielding layer modification additive (except for a silane coupling agent) or a shielding layer modification additive content of not more than 0.1% by mass (based on the mass of the heat resistant resin or its precursor. The base material for a solid electrolytic capacitor comprises a shielding layer formed of a masking material which can surely insulate the anode and cathode parts from each other in the solid electrolytic capacitor. |
