titleOfInvention Method of manufacture of a bioabsorbable metal medical device
abstract A method is provided for processing a medical device (10) formed from a bioabsorbable metallic material. The method begins by generating a beam of radiation (22) onto the bioabsorbable metallic material. The radiation beam is transmitted through a fluid medium (23) and onto a heat affected zone (HAZ) of the bioabsorbable metallic material to thereby cool the HAZ and reduce a concentration of oxygen surrounding the HAZ.
