abstract |
A sensor element is disclosed for a particle sensor for the detection of particles contained in a gas stream, in particular soot particles in the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine. Said element has a substrate (11) and a measuring surface (12) that is arranged on the top surface (111) of the substrate (11) and that can be exposed to the gas stream. In order to protect the measuring surface (12) from mechanical damage during the mounting and storage of the sensor element, the measuring surface (12) is enclosed by a protective frame (20) that consists of ceramic material and that is applied to the substrate (11), preferably printed on, and that is sintered together with said substrate. |
