Disclosed is an antibacterial composition having a stable, high plant disease controlling effect against a cultivated crop infected with a plant disease. The antibacterial composition comprises a benzoylpyridine derivative represented by the formula: [wherein X represents a halogen atom, a nitro group, a hydrocarbon group which may be substituted, an alkoxy group which may be substituted, an aryloxy group which may be substituted, a cycloalkoxy group which may be substituted, or the like; n represents a number of 1, 2, 3 or 4; R1 represents an alkyl group which may be substituted; R2' represents an alkyl group which may be substituted, an alkoxy group which may be substituted, an aryloxy group which may be substituted, a cycloalkoxy group which may be substituted, or a hydroxy group; p represents a number of 1, 2 or 3; and R2'' represents an alkoxy group which may be substituted, or a hydroxy group; or at least two of R2'(s) and R2'' may together form a fused ring containing an oxygen atom] or a salt thereof as an active ingredient (a) and at least one member selected from the group consisting of eight effect-potentiating components (b). |
