titleOfInvention Biological polymer adhesive
abstract The inventive biological polymer adhesive relates to biocompatible adhesive materials used in medicine, mainly to gluing matters used, in particular for surgery. The inventive adhesive is embodied in the form of a polymer latex-based composition and represents a new generation of tissue adhesives. Said invention makes it possible to obtain the adhesive properties such as high adhesiveness to a live tissue, biocompatibility, hydophilicity, bactericidal and haemostatic activity, high anastomosis and surgery suture hermiticity of abdominal operations, pneumo-, hole- and hemostasis. The inventive adhesive provides with opportunity of carrying out conservative surgery, is non-toxic and not-oncogenic, preserves the properties thereof during sterilisation and storage, is easily produced and used and is made of easily available initial material. The inventive latex-based biological polymer adhesive is characterised by the novel composition thereof comprising a viscosity controller and an acidity regulator which allows the pH value to range from 7.0 to 7.8 at the following component content: a water suspension of butyl acrylate acrylonitril latex, wherein a dry matter content is equal to or greater than 30% the mass of the adhesive, the acid regulator is embodied in a form of an effective quantity of one or more substances, which are components of physiological buffer systems and the viscosity controller is embodied in the form of a sufficient quantity of at least one biocompatible agent. The adhesive can also contain a viscosity controller in the form of a polyvinyl alcohol and medicinal additives.
