titleOfInvention Composition of a nat monomer-based electrophoresis gel and use of said gel
abstract The present invention relates to a particular composition of an electrophoresis gel obtained by radical polymerization of the NAT (N-acryloyltris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane) monomer in the presence of an additional vinyl monomer and of a crosslinking agent, in proportions, for the NAT monomer, of between 20 and 70 wt% and, for the additional monomer, of between 30 and 80 wt% of the total monomer content by mass. The electrophoresis gel obtained has properties which make it possible to very significantly improve the extraction and transfer of biological molecules such as proteins and peptides while at the same time guaranteeing excellent performance levels in terms of resolution and in terms of the optical and mechanical properties of said electrophoresis gel.
