abstract |
The present invention relates to methods for diagnosing disorders and diseases associated with ryanodine receptor function and/or associated with mutations in ryanodine receptors. The present invention also provides methods of indentifying compounds that affect ryanodine receptor function and that may be useful for treating disorders and diseases associated with abnormal or defective ryanodine receptor function, and various other methods. The methods may be performed using samples of peripheral blood, containing lymphocytes, and are therefore far less invasive than methods that involve obtaining samples tissue from other sources. |
