abstract The invention is an assembly and a method for producing multiple intersecting positive ion storage rings (40) in a plasma, resulting in nuclear fusion, and to convert the energy from the resulting high energy- particles into more useful forms of power. The assembly consists of alternating layers of reduced pressure fusion. generation chambers (80) containing the intersecting positive ion storage rings (60), and energy absorption chambers (90) which, have provisions for absorbing the energy and conveying it to external energy processing means (96).
