titleOfInvention Microfluidic arrangement for detecting chemical, biochemical molecules and/or particles contained in samples
abstract The invention relates to a microfluidic arrangement for detecting chemical, biochemical molecules and/or particles contained in samples. The detection can in this case preferably be carried out optically/mass sensitively. It is an object of the invention to improve the binding behaviour of molecules and/or particles to be detected to catcher molecules or catcher substances. In the case of the invention, in a microfluidic arrangement, a liquid, chemical, biochemical and/or particle-containing sample is led through at least one measuring channel in flowing form. Specific catcher molecules and/or catcher substances are then immobilized at the bottom of a measuring channel and the liquid sample flows over them. In addition, however, barrier elements are present within the measuring channel. In this case, the barrier elements are arranged and oriented in such a way that they alter the flow direction at least in the case of a portion of the flowing liquid sample. Thus, a portion of the sample essentially cannot flow through the measuring channel parallel to the longitudinal axis of the measuring channel over its entire length. This lengthens the distance to be covered in the process and the residence time when flowing through the measuring channel.
