abstract Disclosed are an electrode active material, of which the stability is improved by adjusting an acid site of a surface of the electrode active material, an electrode containing the electrode active material, having a surface coated with a compound having an acid site, or mixed with the compound having the acid site and an electrode material, and an electrochemical device having the electrode to enhance its performance. By adjusting the acid site on the surface of the electrode active material, the side reaction with the electrolyte is decreased, and the structure stability of the electrode active material is secured, thereby enhancing the performance of the battery.
