A method for production of an adamantane, comprising the step of isomerizing a tricyclic saturated hydrocarbon compound having 10 or more carbon atoms in the presence of a solid catalyst, wherein a pre-reactor is provided in the isomerization process to thereby prevent the production or accumulation of any solid material derived from an oxygenated compound in the inlet or the bottom of an isomerization reactor when the starting material to be supplied contains the oxygenated compound. |
