abstract A method of cleaning the inside of a pressure vessel for blasting. The method enables a treatment to be conducted in a short time regardless of the state of residual substances. This cleaning method, after a blasting step in which an object to be blasted and an explosive for blasting are set in a pressure vessel and the object is then blasted, comprises: a step in which an explosive for cleaning which is different from the explosive used for the object to be blasted is set in an inner part of the pressure vessel in an amount necessary for decomposing the residue of the object; and a step in which the explosive for cleaning is exploded in the pressure vessel to thereby decompose the residue in the pressure vessel.
